There is something so special about eating a freshly baked cake with fresh fruit in it. The fruit makes the sponge moist and the ground pistachio nuts give a wonderful colour and flavour.
The cream filling has a subtle flavour of cardamom, which combined with the blueberries and pistachio make for a delicious cake.
